Brain food, Heart Food, Spiritual Food. We have to feed the Whole body daily. Give your mental, physical, and spiritual well being the best of everything. In return you become “The Greatest”.
I must admit it can be a daily struggle with food for a lot of people. The world we live in today is so full of temptation when it comes to food as well emotional choices that are unhealthy for us. There is provoking content on social media content as well as fast food chains practically on every corner. Here are a few tips that you can use to make better food choices.
Choosing the Correct Path
Choose fruit instead of sugary treats such as cookies, candy, cakes, and pies. Cut back on bad carbs such as white potatoes, white rice, white pasta incorporate more healthy grains/carbs. My favorite is sweet potatoes I get two treats in one the sweet and a good carbohydrate. Eat more raw organic vegetables. Drink plenty of water alkaline if possible and reduce your soda or fruit juice intake.
Lastly If you can. Please reduce your meat/dairy intake. Start with one day a week. I know what you are thinking and the answer is I have not gone crazy. I do not want to preach to the choir therefore I will allow you to do your own research. I choose a plant based diet because I have more energy, my body stays leaner, I eliminate regularly, and my mind is clear just to name a few. Most importantly “Eat to Live” do not “Live to Eat”.
Majority of the time we allow ourselves to get really hungry then one grabs the most convenient food available. Love yourself enough and be aware of what you are eating. How many of you have this habit? I was guilty of this myself. The first question I ask myself before eating anything is does this food item have any nutritional value? Meaning will you gain fuel for the body without experiencing a mental or physical crash in a few hours. Food is an addiction so be cautious and stay woke.
